So this is the part where I am meant to use my creative writing skills (which I don't have) and come up with a few paragraphs about my business and make it sound creative and exciting like its been written by the next Australian Business Women of the Year!  It's hurting my brain....hahaha! So I am going to just be me and tell it just as it was.

Lovelissa Handmade was created as an outlet for myself to overcome a very dark time in my life.   I was struggling with PTSD and severe depression due to unforeseen events that occurred at my past employers.  The first year after my resignation was spent in a fetal position on my bed.  I desperately needed something to give me back that spark, that passion, well my mojo!  

I started importing costume jewellery to start with, that led to making jewellery myself because the quality just wasn't there!

To cut to the chase, Lovelissa Handmade started with making custom cabochon studs that evolved into Danlgies because I didn't feel that I was expressing my creativity enough with boring ole studs!  So I started making custom Danglies, that grew from a few animal ones to, well all the ones you see here now! 

The encouragement and support I received from customers really boosted my confidence and led me on a path of complete joy! My spark came back and I developed a passion for something again.  

I haven't fully recovered but I am well on my way and my quality of life has improved immensely.   It has been a very slow process, but I look forward to getting up every day and making earrings that women from all walks of life love to wear.
